Sassoon "Nu-Pop"

The NU – POP story started with an imaginary meeting between ramshackle rock god Kurt Cobain and sixties supermodel Peggy Moffit and is the explored in three main themes. NU-OP took its inspiration from the classic grunge silhouette in combination with Op artist Bridget Riley; the look featured tight, form-fitting shapes with defined graphic outlines and bevelled edges. Nu-Scene used the primary colours of YSL's Mondrian dress and mixed skinny undercutting with looser shapes. Nu-Psych applied the Sassoon house codes to subvert the sixties hippie into a real, youthful cool.
